Hey, It’s been a long time since I posted news on Animabot 😉 I didn’t advanced much on the software but I can now talk to the servos which is a very good news 🙂 I still have to make all the functions to control them correctly (setPosition, getPosition, moveAll, setTorque, getTemp, etc.) but it will be more interesting !
I’m still waiting for my 3D printer… and it begins to annoy me…
Can you tell the brand name and model of servos of yours? I wonder that is this servo controller board is made by you. If it is not can you give some link to get some information about it? Thank you.

Hi, the servos are HerkuleX DRS-0101 from Dongbu Robot (http://www.dongburobot.com/jsp/cms/view.jsp?code=100788). Yes, the board where the servos are connected is a homemade PCB (only for power). The communication to the motors is done by a STM32F4 Discovery board, also connected to the Power board (http://www.st.com/web/catalog/tools/FM116/SC959/SS1532/PF252419). Hope it can help you !

Those are some generously expensive servos you are using there 😀
Any idea what is holding up your printer?

Expensive regarding other analog servos, Yes. Regarding others digital servos… not so much 🙂
I don’t know really what is holding my 3D printer… it just says : “Your order is fully paid. Please wait for shipping.” -__-

It seems that they are a bit overloaded with all their printers. They have difficulties sending them on time because of the amount of orders…
